2011 Holiday Schedule

Refuse & Recycling Collection

  • Garbage and recycling pickup day is Thursday, town-wide.   Two separate trucks!
  • All items must be at curbside by 7am (garbage, recycling, and large items)
  • Each household is allowed six (6) containgers or bags of trash and one (1) large item per week.  The large item can be a piece of furniture, an appliance, or miscellaneous item such as carpeting, bathroom fixtures, etc.
  • No one container is to exceed 60 pounds.
  • Tires and construction materials are NOT accepted curbside.  For disposal of these items, contact Niagara County Landfill and Recycling at 716-434-6568.

The following are the only holidays in 2012 that will affect your refuse & recycling collection.

Independence Day Wednesday, July 4 Delayed until Friday, July 6
Labor Day  Monday, Sept. 3 Delayed until Friday, Sept 7
Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 22 Delayed until Friday, Nov. 23
Christmas Tuesday, Dec 25 Delayed until Friday, Dec 28
