The Town of Cambria Planning Board was
established by resolution of the Town Board on July 5, 1955.
The members of the Planning Board review and
render decisions relative to site plans and proposed subdivisions
within the town. Additionally, they are involved in the preparation
of a comprehensive master plan for the development of the entire
area of the town.
Zoning and Subdivision applications are
available at the office of the Building Inspector.

Meetings
Meetings of the Planning Board
are generally conducted on the third Monday of each month at 8:00
PM. Public hearings, which are posted at the Town Hall and
advertised as required, are conducted as necessary. All meetings are
open to the public.

Application Procedure

Review
Zoning Ordinance.

Contact Building
Inspector at 433-8161 to make appointment to complete
application.

Submit Application and all
applicable: maps, drawings, plats, surveys, easements,
affidavits, licenses, contracts, and other information which
characterize the application and property.

To obtain action submit to
Chairman of Planning Board via Zoning Officer at Town Hall by
the first Monday of the month, prior to a Planning Board
Meeting. (Prepay applicable fees to Zoning Officer)

Applicant and/or owner must
attend each Public Planning Board Meeting and Site Inspection to
obtain any motion toward approval of plan.

Applicant and owner must
agree to Planning Board conditions or no approval will exist.

to the Planning Board Chairman via the Zoning Officer at Cambria
Town Hall.

The Zoning Board of Appeals consists of five
members appointed by the Town Board.
The Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals
from and reviews requirements, decisions or determinations made by
the Building Inspector, who is charged with the enforcement of the
Zoning Ordinance. The concurring vote of a majority of the members
of the board is necessary to reverse any decision or determination
of the Building Inspector or to decide in favor of the applicant any
matter upon which it is required to pass under the Zoning Ordinance (267 KB PDF file)

NOTICE OF
ADOPTION
TOWN OF CAMBRIA
AMENDMENT TO
ZONING MAP
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of
Cambria at a
regular meeting held on the 14th day of April 2005, duly
adopted the following amendment to the Cambria Zoning Map.
WHEREAS, the Town Board referred a proposed zoning map
amendment to the Town Planning Board for certain lands located south
of Saunders Settlement Road (Route 31), Town of Cambria to classify those properties from
Residential to Planned Development; and
WHEREAS, the Town Planning Board, after reviewing the
request, recommended approval of the application excepting 3059
Shenk Road (SBL #134.00-1-70)
owned by Todd Wendt; and
WHEREAS, the matter has been referred to the Niagara County
Planning Board for a recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Town has received and considered a Short
Environmental Assessment Form and having determined the proposed
action will not have a significant environmental impact on the
environment and therefore declaring Negative Declaration under SEQRA
and having held a public hearing relative to the matter hearing all
persons in interest and further having considered the Town’s master
plan which favors the amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Board RESOLVES to amend its zoning
map as attached hereto and including those parcels described as SBL#
134.00-1-68;
134.00-1-69; 134.00-1-2; 134.00-1-1.312; and 134.00-1-1.311 all
located south of Saunders Settlement Road (Route 31) from R1 – PD and further
RESOLVES to declare Negative Declaration under SEQRA and to
authorize the Town Supervisor to execute the appropriate documents
for this unlisted a
