The Town of Cambria is an interior town, west of the center of the county. Cambria is rich in agricultural land and its generally rural character reflects that.

The Town of Cambria is serviced by the following school districts:

• Niagara Wheatfield Central School District

Nearby Niagara County Community College and Niagara University offer specialized degrees and continuing education for full and part-time students.)

Garbage Collection - Garbage Rules At-A-Glance 

v     Garbage and recycling pickup day is Thursday, town-wide.  Two separate   trucks!

v     All items must be curbside by 7:00 a.m. (garbage, recycling and large items).

v    Each household is allowed six (6) containers or bags of trash. 

v    No one container is to exceed 60 pounds.

v    In addition to the trash allowance, each household is allowed one (1) large item per week.  The large item can be a piece of furniture, an appliance or miscellaneous item such as carpeting, bathroom fixtures, etc. 

v      Construction materials are NOT accepted curbside.  For disposal of these items, contact Niagara County Landfill and Recycling, Route 93 By-Pass, Lockport, - 434-6568.

v     Recycling bins and the "Guide to Recycling" flyer can be obtained from the Highway Department (Municipal Building) from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Public Safety

The Town of Cambria receives its water supply from the Niagara County Water District and has its waste water treated by the Niagara County Sewer District No. 1. The town has enhanced 911 service for fire and emergency calls. The following are public safety service agencies:

Recreation

Cambria residents enjoy the recreational opportunities near the Town Hall and NCCC. Baseball and field sports are popular in our community. Minutes away is Bonds Lake County Park, noted for its environmental center, hiking and skiing trails, sledding runs, and lakes to fish. Due north is Lake Ontario, one of the best freshwater sport fisheries in the world and a great place to go boating. Camping facilities are available at Lazy Lakes Resorts, 4372 Church Road, Lockport NY 14094.

During the summer months, Cambria offers a Baseball and Recreation Day Program. For details contact the Town Clerk's office or refer to the Town of Cambria Newsletter.
