Mother Nature has finally loosened her grip on the Town of Cambria and we are changing gears for the summer weather.  Although winter got off to a late start it sure seems it tried to catch up with us in a shorter amount of time.

Now that we can safely stop worrying about plowing snow…we are off on several other fair weather projects.  Road maintenance and ditching become high priority for us because of the unseasonably wet weather we had in the fall.  Mowing, chipping, and lawn repair are also underway.

Our chipping schedule remains the same this year.  We will NOT chip brush in July and August to free up some paving time.  If you have put brush out to the road, please be sure it is piled properly and meets the required diameter restrictions (under 8”).  We encompass the entire town when we are out with the chipper so patience is greatly appreciated because it may take a couple of days to complete the job.

Repairing lawn damage that resulted in plowing is being completed.  It is not necessary to call to have your lawn repaired unless you feel that we may have inadvertently overlooked you.  In that case, give us a call and we will fix it as soon as we can.

Paving projects this year will be considerably decreased due to the constant rising in petroleum prices.  Cambria Road north has had drainage pipe installed and shoulder work done.  We plan to top it when it’s completed.  Smaller patch jobs will be done to hold us over until these prices decrease or reasonably stabilize.

If you have any questions regarding putting culvert pipe in your yard or about installing a driveway culvert we can help instruct you on the process.  The permit form is downloadable directly from this site.

Please be aware of your local highway workers in your daily travels and use good driving practices when they are out.  We want everyone to remain safe this summer season.

If we can assist you in any way, please be sure to call us and it would be our pleasure to try to help you.  Enjoy the sunshine!
