Bicentennial
Celebration
On March 11,
2008, the Town of Cambria, the earliest town established in
Niagara
County and the “mother” of all other towns within the County,
will be celebrating its 200th Anniversary.
To
commemorate the event, Councilman George Bush has been
appointed Chairman of the Bicentennial Committee, along with
twelve members. If
interested in serving on the Committee, contact George Bush at
731-9352.
Several events are being planned, including a weekend
extravaganza to be held
on
July 26 & 27, 2008, at the campus of Niagara County Community
College,
located at the
intersection of Saunders Settlement Road (NY Route 31) and Townline Road (NY Route 429).
Some of the
festivities planned for this weekend event include artisans,
demonstrations, flea market, hot air balloons, concert, car show, kite
flying, parade, truck rodeo, live band entertainment, fireworks,
food and beverages, and
much more!
Be sure to
reserve the dates. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!
